Terms and Conditions of Purchase (Terms and Conditions of Sale)

These terms and conditions apply to all orders placed through Minkeramikk.no.

1. Ordering Process: A request submitted via the “Build Your Design” form is not a binding order. After we receive your request, we will contact you personally to review the design, confirm the details, and provide a final price. All prices quoted include VAT, shipping, and customs clearance. The order is considered binding only after you have confirmed it via email and we have received your address.

2. Custom-made products (Custom Design) All products ordered through this service are "made-to-order." This means that the product is made specifically for you based on your unique specifications.

3. No Right of Withdrawal In accordance with Section 22(e) of the Right of Withdrawal Act, the right of withdrawal does not apply to the delivery of goods that have been manufactured according to the consumer’s specifications or that have been given a distinct personal touch. Please note that once production in Italy has begun, the order cannot be canceled or returned, as the item cannot be sold to others. The customer will have the opportunity to approve the order before it is shipped and before the final invoice is due (read more in the following sections).

4. Shipping, Customs, and VAT

  • The items are shipped directly from our manufacturer in Italy to the customer's address.

  • No hidden costs: Minkeramikk.no is the responsible importer of the product. This means that the price stated in the order confirmation includes Norwegian value-added tax (VAT) and any customs duties.

  • Customs cleared: The customer will not receive any requests for additional import fees or customs processing from the shipping company upon delivery. In the unlikely event that you, as a customer, are contacted by the shipping company regarding import costs, please contact us immediately before making any payment.

5. Payment Payment is made via invoice once we have confirmed the design and order together. Production in Italy will not begin until a deposit equal to 50% of the total amount has been received, unless otherwise agreed in writing. However, the customer will receive two invoices for their order; the first invoice for 50% must be paid before production begins. The final invoice will be sent when the order is ready to ship. The final invoice must be paid before we ship the order.

6. Complaints If the product has a defect or flaw that is not due to a custom design (e.g., damage during shipping or a manufacturing defect that does not comply with the agreement), the right to file a complaint applies in accordance with the Consumer Sales Act. The customer must notify us as soon as possible, preferably within 48 hours of delivery, if there is a problem. All our products are insured during transport, and replacement product(s) will be provided at no additional cost in the event of documented damage upon delivery.

7. Disclaimer: Since ceramics are handmade natural products, there may be slight variations in color and shape compared to the digital design or images on the website. This is not considered a defect, but rather part of the product’s unique character. Along with the final invoice, we will send photos of all products that have been produced so that the customer can approve the order. Should there be any manufacturing defects, such as the wrong color or defects in the ceramic base (i.e., plate/dish, etc.), the customer must notify us within 72 hours of the date the final invoice is sent.
